The White Horse and Griffin Hotel and Restaurant in Whitby offers quapty accommodation and fine food in a 320 year old building. Our lovely menu includes freshly prepared meat, fish and vegetarian dishes in a cosy bistro atmosphere, or the more formal Endeavour Restaurant. Relax and enjoy the unique environment and then spend the night in our very comfortable rooms. The Hotel is a non-smoking hotel, except in the Bistro.....

Created over a period of 15 years (to date), the exhibition is the sole production of Patricia Labistour. It contains well over 300, 1:12 scale beautifully-costumed figures in highly-detailed illuminated settings. Totally authentic in all aspects of research. Containing many touches of humour, this exhibition is now regarded by tourists and miniaturists as one of the area's 'real treasures', both historically and socially. Very educational as well as entertaining and informative. Village streets to walk around depicting the sounds, smells and pfestyle of smuggpng pfe in the 17thC. Ground floor Smugglers Exhibition showing detailed quarter-scale Robin Hood’s Bay street scene circa 1650. Ulistairs, Music in Miniature is an exhibition of 50 one-twelfth scale scenic models, containing more than 500 beautiful costumed miniature figures, set in illuminated recesses and depicting man’s love of music making from Stone Age to Space Age.....
