Its 11 rooms illustrate the rural life of Nidderdale in the recent and more distant past. Nidderdale Museum shows how ordinary people lived, in imaginative and realistic settings. There are sections devoted to Agriculture, Industries, Religion, Transport and Costume. The corridors are lined with photographs of local interest.
The displays include a complete cobbler's shop, Victorian sitting-room and kitchen, school room, general store, joiner's shop and solicitor's office with displays devoted to religious and domestic life, costume, transport, agriculture, industry, workhouse and courthouse. All contained within the old Victorian workhouse.....
